Supportive Community Services

Adult Community Support staff work in the community with Geauga County residents who are diagnosed with mental illness, to help these individuals  build and maintain their independence, connect them to needed resources and services, and advocate for them to receive assistance. Adult Community Support Workers can support recovery by monitoring and encouraging participation in mental health treatment and ensuring that individuals are able to receive and access medical care. The goal of Community Support Workers is to help individuals with severe and chronic mental illness have healthy, safe and self sufficient lives in our community.
