Ravenwood Health offers internships that may be for you! If you are enrolled in an accredited school working towards a master’s degree in social work, counseling, and/or marriage and family therapy, consider what we have to offer as you begin your career.
We offer diverse opportunities to develop and practice your clinical skills in one or more of the 24 programs we offer at multiple sites throughout Geauga County. Our program aims to support you the student with meeting your educational goals through individual and group supervision with licensed clinicians, and direct exposure to evidence based care. You will become a vital part of our treatment team and obtain practical experience with comprehensive assessments, treatment plans, and the implementation of interventions with individuals, groups, and families.
Our internship program, akin to our agency as a whole, strives to be clinically sophisticated, teaching and practicing Trauma Informed care and Motivational Interviewing, along with many other evidenced-based practices and models. POSITIONS REQUIRING MASTER’S DEGREE AND LICENSE:
Psychiatrist needed to work with adults in an outpatient setting, with weekday hours. This is a perfect opportunity for someone who enjoys working with a strong clinical team in a semi-rural setting. Full time preferred, but part time opportunities are available.
EMERGENCY SERVICES THERAPIST (On site and/or On Call)
PRN and Part Time Emergency Services Therapist to provide crisis intervention and pre-hospital screening for individuals who experience a mental health and/or substance use emergency. This is an ideal position for a clinician with the desire to work in a fast paced and clinically diverse treatment team environment and with the ability to provide coordination of emergency care between shifts and other agency programs.
EMERGENCY SERVICES THERAPIST (Full Time Evenings and Full Time Days)
Full-time licensed master’s level Counselor or Social Worker needed to provide crisis intervention and professional consultation services for individuals who experience a mental health and/or substance use emergency. Duties include: Consultation with crisis intervention staff, crisis intervention, pre-hospital screening, follow-up services, brief therapy and consultation with professionals, agencies and families. Compensation for additional PRN on-call emergency coverage is available.
ASSERTIVE COMMUNITY TREATMENT THERAPIST
Full-time master’s level, licensed therapist position. This position involves providing diagnostic assessment and mental health/chemical dependency counseling to a small caseload of severely mentally ill adults often in their home environment. The successful candidate will participate as a member of our interdisciplinary treatment team. Experience with trauma informed care principles a plus.
OUTPATIENT/IN HOME MENTAL HEALTH THERAPIST WITH A FOCUS ON THE AMISH AND MIDDLEFIELD COMMUNITY
Full-time mental health therapist needed to provide individual and family counseling to children, youth and their families. Treatment is provided in the families’ homes and natural environments which will require the therapist to be willing to work a flexible s\a flexible schedule with evenings required.
GROUP HOME THERAPIST
Ravenwood Health’s residential group home for youth seeks a full time mental health therapist to work and provide individual and group counseling on site at the facility with adolescents and their families. The ideal candidate will have training and experience in treating mental health and substance abuse issues, and enjoy working in a setting with strong collaborative team approach. Position requires the therapist to work a flexible schedule with some evenings. Masters Degree and State of Ohio license required.
Full time therapist need to work in an outpatient office setting in our STOP program. Master’s level, licensed therapist position. This position involves providing diagnostic assessment and mental health counseling to a caseload of adults and children who have been involved in sex abuse. The successful candidate will participate as a member of our interdisciplinary treatment team. Experience with trauma informed care principles a plus.
BACHELOR’S LEVEL POSITIONS:
ADULT COMMUNITY PSYCHIATRIC SUPORTIVE TREATMENT WORKER (CASE WORKER)
Full Time CPST worker needed for an outpatient community mental health center located in Geauga County to work with adults with severe mental illness. Duties include but are not limited to: problem solving with clients, home visits, coordinating services, linkage to resources and participating with other clinical staff as a member of our interdisciplinary treatment team. This is a great entry level job from which many of our staff have moved on to positions with increased responsibility within the agency.
YOUTH CARE WORKERS
Part Time and PRN youth care workers needed. The ideal candidate would be available for evening, overnight and weekend hours. Responsibilities include direct supervision and involvement with an at-risk adolescent population, monitoring routines, supporting treatment goals, and nightly administrative and cleaning tasks. This is an exciting environment with the opportunity to teach and role model to adolescents who need guidance.
HOTLINE WORKER/RESIDENTIAL STAFF
PRN and Part Time Mental Health Hotline Worker for weekend, evening, and overnight shift coverage. Duties include answering a 24 hour mental health hotline and working with individuals in a mental health adult residential setting. Excellent entry level position in the mental health field.
Seeking a full time medical assistant to work Monday through Friday. Some evenings may be required. This position is responsible for answering high volume phone calls, assisting physicians/nursing staff with vital signs and other related responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication and written skills and be able to coordinate information between clients and their treatment team, including our psychiatrist and therapists. Strong decision-making skills in a sometimes high-pressure environment and basic mental health diagnosis familiarity preferred.
Part time driver needed to assist with getting clients to programming as well as to and from appointments. A good driving record is required. Mental Health experience a plus but not required.
